The rugged Protecta combines high quality and low maintance. It is constructed of a glass reinforced polyester (GRP) body and a polycarbonate diffuser to resist highly saline and other harsh, corrosive environments.
All the control gear is mounted on a gear tray. This ease of access to lamps and control gear ensures that installation and maintenance will be completed quickly and efficiently.

The hazardous area Ex e Protecta III fluorescent is also available in a stainless steel body version. This product shares the technical features of the GRP bodied range but provides increased mechanical protection for the toughest of environmental conditions.
The durability of the stainless steel Protecta is ensured due to its construction from high grade stainless steel and a polycarbonate diffuser. The product is intended for applications where a risk of mechanical damage or exposure to chemical agents exist.

9 Series
EEx ed II 2G 3D IIC T5/T4 - IP65
Standard / emergency

High output fluorescent luminare with a range of lamp wattages available from 18W to 58W.
Manufactured from heavy duty aluminium extrusion and polycarbonate end caps and diffuser. Three hour duration emergency models are fitted with integral batteries and charger units.
Access to lamps is via a single point locking mechanism and mounting is enabled using Quick Fit T bolts in a channel for maximum flexibility.
The modern styling of this extremely rigid and luminare allows unobtrusive use for both internal and external applications.

Lomond
II 2 GD Ex d IIB-IIC - IP66/67/68
Standard / emergency (8W)

A traditional flameproof luminaire for use with linear and compact fluorescent lamps.
The Lomond is designed for applications where white instant light is needed. The aluminium and glass construction is suitable for aggressive chemical environments such as paint spraying, which could otherwise attack plastics.
An emergency version with the 8W lamp is particularly suitable for over door lighting. This is designed for maintained operation as standard, a non-maintained emergency option is also available.
The design features a single flameproof path giving easy access for wiring, lamp replacement and to the control gear. The cable entry is the simple direct type using flameproof Ex d cable glands.

Recessed fluorescent luminare with a range of lamp wattages available from 18W to 58W.
Manufactured from sheet steel finished in a white powder coated compound.

Manufactured from zinc coated sheet steel the luminaire is suitable for installation in fire resistant ceilings up to SOLAS B15 rating. The polycarbonate diffuser is available in clear, prismatic or with a glare control louvre. The mounting and cover details are flexible to allow luminaires to be recessed into a variety of ceiling types.
The control gear and batteries are mounted internally on a gear tray and access for lamp replacement and maintenance is simple and easy. The emergency version has excellent light output and duration in accordance with emergency lighting standards. Comprehensive self-testing periodically confirms the availability of sufficient emergency duration.

Recessed fluorescent luminaire

The body is made from zinc coated sheet steel and the diffuser from prismatic polycarbonate with the smooth face outwards. Where it meets the ceiling apeture the body is fitted with a flipper seal providing excellent sealing against surface irregularities.
The range is flexible to allow luminaires to be recessed into either plasterboard and modular (600x600mm & 600x1200mm) ceiling types. The control gear and batteries are mounted internally on a gear tray and access for lamp replacement and maintenance is simple and easy.
The emergency version has excellent emergency light output and duration in accordance with emergency lighting standards. Comprehensive self-testing periodically confirms the availability of sufficient emergency duration.

Zone 2

EXEN
EEx nC II 3GD T4 -40°C to +55°C - IP65
Standard / emergency

A highly competitive zone two fluorescent luminare for use in both internal and external applications.
Featuring a moulded GRP body and polycarbonate diffuser it is designated as “unrestricted breathing” equipment, meaning no routine testing during maintenance inspections.
Simple in design access to all parts is quick and when needed lamps may be changed easily by releasing the stainless steel diffuser clips and removing the diffuser.
Lamp sizes from 18W to 58W are available as are single and twin versions.
Three hour emergency versions are fitted with integral batteries and charging unit.

Sterling II

Standard / emergency

A quality and cost effective luminaire designed to provide instant glare free white light for Zone 2 hazardous areas.
The GRP body and polycarbonate diffuser is secured with multiple stainless steel clips to ensure good corrosion resistance and allow rapid access for installation and maintenance.
The Sterling is suitable for T8 tubular fluorescent lamps in 18/36/58W sizes. Electronic high frequency control gear is fitted as standard.

A robust, high quality luminaire designed for Zone 2 environments where there is a high risk of mechanical damage.
The stainless steel body and polycarbonate diffuser is secured using multiple stainless steel clips ensure excellent corrosion resistance and IP sealing. The quick release clips also provide rapid access for installation and maintenance.
The stainless steel body is designed to provide high impact strength and resistance to those chemicals which might damage GRP. The range is suitable for T8 tubular fluorescent lamps in the nominal 18/36/58W sizes. The standard range has electronic control gear and high frequency ballast.

Protecta n
II 3 GD Ex nA - IP66/67

The Protecta Category 3 Ex n luminaire combines the strength and integrity of the Category 2 increased safety enclosure with the Category 3 lamp and control gear package used in the Sterling. The range is suitable for T8 tubular fluorescent lamps in the nominal 18W and 36W sizes.
Protecta is constructed using glass reinforced polyester (GRP) and polycarbonate which resist saline and other corrosive environments. A key feature is the Protecta's rugged duribility. This comes from strength of the enclosure combined with toughened mounting points together and the very high degree of ingress protection.
The simple design and ease of access to lamps and control gear means that installation and maintenance can be completed quickly and efficiently. The Protecta offers the facility of four cable entries. The standard range has electronic control gear and all emergency versions come complete with 3 hour battery duration.

Industrial

Protecta
IP66/67 - Standard / emergency

The Protecta (Industrial) is a robust GRP fluorescent with high IP rating designed for use in the most arduous environments. It is constructed from the same GRP body design as the hazardous area versions.
As such the industrial version features the Protecta's trademark quick-release GRP clamp bar which secures the hinged clear polycarbonate diffuser. This provides quick and easy access to the control gear.
All of the control gear is mounted on to the reflector/gear-tray which is fitted to the body. Ease of access to the lamps ensures that installation and maintenance times are kept to a minimum.

Protecta Stainless Steel
IP66/67 - Standard / emergency

The Protecta industrial fluorescent is available with a stainless steel body. Protecta has excellent durability as it is constructed using high grade 316S31 stainless steel and a polycarbonate diffuser. A standard non-emergency and emergency versions are available in both 18W and 36W lamp options.
The product is intended for industrial applications where chemical agents are present which could attack GRP bodied luminaires. The stainless steel enclosure affords a high degree of ingress protection (IP66/67). Its design also utilised the Protecta's key features providing ease of access to lamps and control gear. This ensures that installation and maintenance will be completed quickly and efficiently.
The Emergency version is also available complete with 3 hour Ni-Cad battery back-up.

Sterling II
IP65 - Standard / emergency / high frequency

The Sterling II is designed to provide a high quality, cost effective fluorescent luminaire for industrial areas. It is available in single and twin body versions. The construction features a GRP body and polycarbonate diffuser. These are secured using quick release stainless steel clips allowing easy access for rapid installation and maintenance.
The Sterling II has a 230/240V 50Hz copper and iron ballast as standard, available in 18W, 36W and 58W fluorescent lamp options. Other supply voltage options are available.
The high frequency version have an electronic ballast, available in 18W, 36W and 58W fluorescent lamp options.
Emergency models have an internal Ni-Cad battery. Please note that single lamp emergency versions are only supplied in a twin lamp body.

Sterling II Stainless Steel
IP65 - Standard / emergency / high frequency

The Sterling II luminaire is designed to provide a high quality, cost effective fluorescent luminaire for industrial areas. It is available in single and twin body versions. The construction features a marine grade 316S31 stainless steel body and transparent polycarbonate diffuser. These are secured using quick release stainless steel clips allowing easy access for rapid installation and maintenance.
The Sterling II has a copper & iron switchstart ballast, available in 18W, 36W and 58W fluorescent lamp options.
The high frequency version have an electronic ballast, available in 18W, 36W and 58W fluorescent lamp options.
Emergency models have an internal Ni-Cad battery. Please note that single lamp emergency versions are only supplied in a twin lamp body.

Acclaim
Recessed fluorescent luminaire
IP54 - Standard / emergency

The Acclaim recessible lighting range is suitable for a range of industry standard ceiling types. Available as both emergency and non-emergency versions, the Acclaim can be used with 18W or 36W fluorescent lamps. The Acclaim is also certified for use in fire resistant ceilings up to Solas B15 rating.
IP23 is the standard IP rating but there is the option of higher IP rating of IP54 if required.
The polycarbonate diffuser is available in clear, prismatic or with a glare control louvre. The mounting and cover details are flexible to allow luminaires to be recessed.
The control gear and batteries are mounted internally on a gear tray and access for lamp replacement and maintenance is simple and easy. The emergency version has excellent light output and duration in accordance with emergency lighting standards.

Curie

The Curie range of fluorescents is available in normal and emergency versions is designed purposely for use industrial applications where recessible emergency lighting is required. The body is made from zinc coated sheet steel and the diffuser from prismatic polycarbonate with the smooth face outwards. Where it meets the ceiling apeture the body is fitted with a flipper seal providing excellent sealing against surface irregularities.
The range is flexible to allow luminaires to be recessed into either plasterboard and modular (600x600mm & 600x1200mm) ceiling types. The control gear and batteries are mounted internally on a gear tray and access for lamp replacement and maintenance is simple and easy.
